Our Mission
Welcome to the Monadnock Beekeepers Association, an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the art and science of beekeeping in the beautiful Monadnock region. Established in 2003 as a chapter of the New Hampshire Beekeepers Association, our group brings together beekeepers of all levels of experience, from beginners to seasoned professionals, fostering a sense of community and sharing knowledge for the betterment of honeybee health and the environment.
At Monadnock Beekeepers Association, we recognize that honeybees are an essential part of the region's agriculture. We believe in increasing the sustainability of our local honeybees, minimizing winter colony loss, and reducing dependence on non-local sources, by improving honeybee health and genetics. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower individuals interested in beekeeping, while advocating for the preservation and protection of honeybees and their habitats.
We provide a platform for beekeepers to connect with each other, exchange ideas, and learn from experts in the field. Through our regular meetings, workshops, and educational events, we aim to provide a supportive environment where members can enhance their beekeeping skills, address challenges, and stay updated on the latest advancements in beekeeping techniques and practices.
